We are cooking up a nice surprise for the coming months: a new Corunean game!

To prepare for this event, Corunea will reorganize its web presence. The actual services (news, forums, shop...) will be taken down on the 15 of August and come back later on in their new format.

One Year Anniversary

Corunea Role Card Game was released on the 20th of May 2008, a year ago, and is now played in many countries. The Corunea team wants to salute and thanks all the players, reviewers, game shops and distributors who made it possible. Hail to the Coruneans from France, Germany, Belgium, UK, Switzerland, Spain, Luxembourg, USA, Canada, Mexico, China, Hong-Kong and even Japan!

For Italian players, this anniversary also brings a novelty as Corunea is now distributed in Italy by Red Glove.

The wait is nearly over, the Extra Pack 1: Brute Force will be released the 7th of February. Preorders will reach destination between a week and a day before this date, depending on locations. The time to rebuild your favorite deck has come... Fear the Defender / Warden revenge!

Card of the week: Great Axe V2

This week we propose an example of the updated cards included in the Extra Pack 1. When you get an updated version of a card, you just replace all previous versions by the new one. Here, it is a "boost": this (V2) of the Great Axe is more useful and powerful than the initial one.

Our weekly card doesn't introduce a new keyword in the Extra Pack 1, but it proposes a power unseen so far. The first power of this card allows you to free your Holding slot during the round. This opens up many new opportunities for Gift users. More details are described here...

Card of the week: Battlefield Stance

Each character class gets a new Ability card in the Extra Pack 1. This week, we present the Defender's one: Battlefield Stance. This Ability is all out offensive, allowing the Defenders to change their tactic at the price of a faster battle fatigue. Many duelists will use this card, especially when time run out to win a fight. More details on this card right here.

Card of the week: Lightning Storm

This week we introduce a new type of climates using the second new mechanism of the Extra Pack1, the Engulf keyword. When this deadly Lightning Storm is placed, anyone who rolls a double on a D100 throw gets hit and suffer 5 thermal damage. You'd better be able to discard this one if your adversary can sustain these lightning bolts better than you... More details on this card can be found right here.

Each week a card from the Extra Pack 1 will be described. We will start with a piece of jewelry that might become precious to many: The Leeching Torc. This beautiful item of Sidrissian craftwork is rather rare in the lands of Corunea, but not unique. It is said that the Sidrissian nobles were frequently wearing these torcs to protect them from poisoning, a common "political move" in their aristocratic circles. The Corunea summer tour is now over and we wanted to thank all the shop keepers, players, event organizers... that made it a success. We met many fans and it was a pleasure to finally put some faces on forum's names. The «Grand Convergence» saw the victory of the Elementals, Loaias is now their champion for a year! A champion was also crowned in Luxembourg: Jekothalep. In the coming months, ranked tournaments will start in several places, stay tuned for more info about them... See you all soon. A first Champion of Corunea

Rafy won the first official tournament of Corunea and the title of Survivor of Lokis. Ankle deep in the mud of this Sarkan Arena, the fights where fierce, to finally oppose Lassa to Shyl Naoa in the last stand. The Meern managed to get rid of her shade sister... glory for one, mud for the others...

After a long and careful crafting, Corunea faces the bright light of day. Thanks again to the people who helped us carry Corunea from a dream to the great game we believe it is now. To celebrate this release the base tag of the art prints have changed: you now get two views of Corunea for the price of one.
